Calmr is a supportive space where children and teens learn to manage and master their anxiety. We work closely with families to build steady, practical tools that help kids feel safer in themselves and more settled at home

How We Help

Every child experiences anxiety differently, so sessions are kept gentle, practical, and paced to suit what your child is dealing with right now.

Julie guides the process with a steady approach shaped by her background in school counselling and play therapy. She also holds a Master of Counselling, with postgraduate training in play therapy, and tailors each session to your child’s age and what they’re finding hardest at the moment, while keeping things comfortable and easy to engage with.

For younger children, sessions are play-based, using puppets, figurines, and simple activities to help them express worries in their own way. 

For teens, sessions offer a relaxed space to unpack what feels overwhelming and learn practical strategies for managing anxiety, either online or in person. 

Parents stay closely involved through regular updates after each session, so the same language and strategies can continue at home, not just in sessions.
