Teen Anxiety Coaching

A private, encouraging space for teens to unpack what’s going on and learn simple ways to manage their anxiety day to day.

Teens have a lot on their plates.  Performance pressure, relationships, expectations, identity, and the pressure to keep it all together. They are often carrying adult-sized challenges with child-developed tools because their brains are still wiring the parts needed for self-regulation, long-term thinkings and considering other perspectives.

Coaching gives them room to slow down, talk things through, and learn practical tools they can use when anxiety feels overwhelming. Sessions are calm, conversational, and shaped around what matters most to them.

The goal is helping your teen feel heard and confident enough to handle anxious moments with a little more ease, while developing skills that can re-centre them when they are stressed, at school and at home

The woman wears a colorful plaid shirt and jeans, and the therapist wears glasses and a white coat while holding a notepad. The setting is a bright room with a white brick wall, a potted plant on a small wooden table, and large windows.

How the sessions work

Coaching for teens is held online, giving them privacy and flexibility no matter where they live, even in rural areas of the country like Wagga Wagga. Most teens join for 12 fortnightly sessions, in a set time slot after school hours. This routine gives consistency and accountability, helping them settle into the process and practice new skills.

There’s no strict pace. Some teens dive in quickly, and others take their time finding their feet. Sessions adjust to your teen’s comfort level, with space for them to talk honestly without pressure or judgment.

Parents play an important part in the process. You’ll receive occasional updates so you understand the skills we’re building and can support your teen in a steady, consistent way.
